Which is why we want to give you a behind-the-scenes look at Zenreach. We’ll introduce you to people inside the company, what they do, and why they chose to work here.

Meet Emily King, Senior Client Support Manager. Emily’s main focus is leading our client support team. With a background in hospitality, Emily has always been passionate about helping others. What gets her most excited about her work is solving problems in unique and creative ways. Emily is awesome and we couldn’t do it without her.

How did you become interested in Zenreach?

I have a background in hospitality. I went to culinary school and was able to open a few restaurants. I ended up leaving the restaurant industry after 5 years. Some time later I met Caley, another Zenreach employee, who talked to me about Zenreach. She was very excited about working here and after learning about the product, I realized it aligned perfectly with my background. I wish I had known about it when I was working in restaurants! I felt like it was a groundbreaking product and I also wanted to work directly with clients. 

What do you love most about working with Zenreach customers?

I love learning about our customers’ pain points and helping them overcome them. I think my background in hospitality makes me sympathetic to their challenges. 

If you could give Zenreach customers one piece of advice, what would it be?

Never underestimate the power of a great Smart Email(automated customer emails that are triggered by customer visits). Also, please test your WiFi hotspot every day! 

What’s the funniest customer question your team has ever received?

What is the most interesting aspect of your role?

I enjoy helping our clients leverage the platform in interesting, creative ways. I’m a problem-solver at heart and I love puzzles. It’s so cool that I get paid to do it all day!

What’s the most common issue you’ve come across and how have you been able to solve it?

The underutilization of Smart Emails. It’s a powerful customer retention tool and works really well with Attract, our ads product. There are so many creative ways they can be used—from welcoming new customers to nurturing loyal customers. By setting up the right cadences, you can reach customers throughout their lifetime, and monitor and measure their engagement with your store or brand. 

What trait do you value most in working with others?

I value honesty and feedback. If I’m not delivering or providing a colleague with what they need to be successful, I need to know about it or I can’t change it. 

If you could give your 21-year old self a piece of career advice, what would it be?

Stop taking everything so personally. It’s almost never about you. 

What are you most excited for as you grow with Zenreach?

I’m excited for so many different things. I’m excited to see where this product and our company can go. We’ve come a long way in just three years, from a WiFi and email platform to the ability to send highly targeted ad campaigns. We’ve seen clients sell out events using Attract, our ads product, and I’m excited to see our success as we move into the programmatic and display ads space. As a manager, I’m excited to see my team grow and flourish here. I have seen them come into work each day excited and wanting to help grow the company. I want to see everyone continue to do great things.
